Re: Theory vs Experimental Science

point of historical reference

Boolean Logic wasn't always the firm system
of analysis we know it as today.

Boole was a theologian who wrote his treatise
'An Investigation of the Laws of Thought, on
Which Are Founded the Mathematical Theories
of Logic and Probabilities' circa 1854.

Charles Pierce attempted to expand and develop
Boole's ideas, but it wasn't until Huntington (1905)
did a complete analysis, that we received the full
insight of Boole's thinking. FIFTY YEARS -after-
first presentation.

It would be instumental to find a copy of
Boole's work - it's accessible on the Net
(under $4) ... the language and thought
will amaze you in comparison to what we've
'inherited' as Boolean Logic.

Some 'science' gets to us essentially finished;
some require gestation time.
