Thanks! (I always feel like one of JS Bach's kids when someone gives me praise in this particular area... They were reported to respond by saying; "Well, if you think I'm good... you should hear my Dad!" Sadly, in this case, that's rather difficult to do. On the other hand, even if he was alive and healthy, he wasn't very likely to participate in a discussion list on the internet. He was even more of a hermit than I am.

I have an idea for perhaps the second "order" of entailment in the universe. I don't know if it's really second or if it's tied for first with context-dependence. It's a distinct concept, although related to the one already described. It's also what my father referred to as one of the fundamental aspects of "Natural Law": the fact that entailment, while it is entirely dependent on contextual matters, is also exportable. If the contextual relations are transferred to a model with enough accuracy, the model will predict accurate causal outcomes. (As always, the devil is in the details... Here, it's the value of the word "enough" that can be the source of so much trouble, though!) Putting it another way: Any model whose inferential entailment relations accurately mirrors the causal entailment relations of the system being modeled will then accurately recreate the same exact same entailment pattern of the original system.

This is a rather startling truth, it seems to me. We tend to take it as "a given" that we can do this, but has anyone ever studied Why? This basic reality of how the universe works is a clue into the nature of entailment itself, and therefore the nature of causality. If Robert Rosen was correct in his description of the nature of Anticipatory Systems, then the fact that all living systems incorporate this very capability (the portability of entailment patterns) into their own organization gives us further glimpses into how the universe works, how entailment works, and by extrapolation, how causality works. That's where I'd be putting my research time, if I were to embark on a PhD right now.

The challange of structuring entailment is daunting in
its most comprehensive statement - so I've focussed on
something 'simpler' (heh,heh) ... the structuring of
multiple entropic gradients .. that interact and interinfluence
between their respective systems tiers or orders.

"Orders of entailment" will end up being the more complete,
but more generalized statements of systems-performances
that will start with these tropic interactions.

Fortunately for me, tropic interinfluences do -not- involved
specification of alternate qualia - where as entailment
absolutely -does- include alternate qualia and how they relate.
So I'm taking formative steps here in communicating the
design structure/function of the universe.

Taking RR's conceptual paradigm into all possible realms
of activity in the universe requires identifying agents
within environments, and, agency -as- environment.

This is a difficult notion to work into modern physics,
since all physics without exception presumes the dichotomy
of form from action. QM, classical, relativistic, supersymmetry,
string theory .. they all agree 'by (presumptive) definition' that
entities transfer action potentials between them, are 'carriers'
of force/action, and that's how the universe operates.

There is no understanding or appreciation for existence in
which 'all is environment', and agents are expressions -of-
action potentials, not their 'carriers'.

To architecturalize 'entailment' therefore means that
statistical potentials - take on Cantorian enormity and
can't help but trace pathways and transforms among
induced and then reduced qualia; in the same way that
Aleph-null, Aleph-one, Aleph-two, etc., transfinities
relate to one another.

The universe synergetically combines and influencially
morphs energy forms .. by simply using its inate
capacity to dimensionally re-shape 'what exists'.

Entailment is the utilizing of communication retes,
fore-linked, back-linked, cross-linked.
