This will probably the strangest posting I have yet
to contrive.
I can feel the ones who have not
yet spoken since I have arrived to this list some three months ago. You are
smart dogs. You sit at the table of those who would speak. Do you
think that because I speak so much that I am a stranger to silence, or
that silence is my foe? You are mistaken! A great voice once
said, "You have not because you ask not."
I have been changed in the course of my interaction
with these good people and the change has been good.
David
What a muddled mind I have!
All men are bright, bright;
I alone am dim, dim.
All men are sharp, sharp;
I alone am mum, mum.
Bland like the ocean,
Aimless like the wafting gale.
All men have fallen into their
grooves;
I alone am stubborn and remain
outside.
But wherein I am different from
others is,
In knowing to take sustenance from my
Mother!
(Lao Tzu from the Tao teh Ching
translated by John C. H. Wu)
