The phrase "(M,R)-system" is Rosen's term for the relational model with
metabolism, repair (and in some cases, replication). Abbreviations of
'modeling relation' as "MR" (or something like that) that I have used or
seen used by others do not include the use of parentheses, comma, or
"-system".
