Wow, Steve; thanks for posting that one! I had a cascade of
reactions, reading that article. One was: "YAY,
CORNELL!!!" which is in my neck of the woods, here in
New York. Another was: "They proved this by analyzing the movement of student's
use of the computer mouse, during set psychological testing???? If it was that
easy, what took them so #@&!*&# long!?!" The proof has been all over the
place, all this time, in millions of large and small ways...
Ultimately, this reminds me of an article I read, a few years back,
which stated "Science proves that biology cheats females of sleep." The article
went on to describe how female anatomy and life-cycle activity (such as
menstruation, pregnancy, nursing newborn infants, etc and menopause) all had a
negative impact on sleep. Sheesh, I could have told them that! I have
that article up on my fridge and it is universally laughed at by every female
who reads it. Science proves..... really.

PS: I can just picture the Cornell researchers standing
around, congratulating themselves, going "Look at what we proved!" and someone
in the group chiming in with; "OK. Now what?" Where do they go from here? It
seems to me they're left with the obvious question: Why are living organisms the
way they are???
