I'm currently studying the legal contract my father signed with CUP
to see if there is any way out of his obligations to them. Their behavior with
the availability of the books ought to be grounds for dissolution of the
contract, it seems to me. Particularly since they haven't said one word to me
about what the hold-up is. I haven't been able to get any information out of
them other than "the people you need to talk to are on vacation right now and
won't be back until.... We'll ask them to get in touch then."
ARG!!!
Meanwhile, it has been suggested to me that the most useful thing
people can do is write directly to the company, as Tim did, but I'll post the
email addresses I've got for various people at CUP and you can email these folks
directly:
Some of these people have probably changed job titles, but they are
the ones who I have corresponded with about the two books they "own" of my
father's. Let me know what happens.
