Another update from Amazon.com just arrived today regarding my order for the paperback edition of Life Itself:

We wanted to let you know that there is a delay with item(s) in the order you placed on March 03 2005 13:41 PST

P.S. - As this was not my first experience of this kind with them, I just sent a nasty email to Columbia Univ. Press (***) expressing in no uncertain terms my utter dislike for CUP.
