Jerry,
is there really a difference between a cc and a non-cc cell, other than
their effect on US???? diverse cells have diverse activities - and
viability, different components to include, still compying with our
definition of a (living) cell.
Isn't the identification based on the model-view we formulated on (our)
life-systems and the (so far known) cell-types? Both
"cute" and "scienticif" definitions depend on our capability to draw
boundaries around topics of our limited models. There is no "good" or "bad"
in nature, only in our relation.
(Even in human relations: a killer is 'bad' and gets executed, a multiple
killer is a 'hero' and gets a medal.)
