I think I may have some insights to add to this discussion between

It's true that "closed to efficient causation" is a single "condition", when phrased that way and included in a list of conditions necessary for life, but the reality it represents is huge. If we look at what is required for a system to be organized such that it IS closed to efficient causation.... that may well include all that is sufficient for life. Judith
