I agree that "closed to efficient cause" does not appear to be a sufficient condition.

No point. I was surprised that my memory was so bad. We apparently agree that "closed to efficient causation" is a necessary condition for life. It does not appear to me to be a sufficient condition.
Do we disagree on sufficiency?
