Re: topic reminder

Dear Howard,

I rarely oppose what you write, I usually don't challenge your excellent
memories of 3500(+?) hours of personal professional discussions with RR and
your knowledge of most of his writings by heart.
I, on the other side, did not have the luck to meet with him and don't have
the endurance to read his texts, usually ASK the list about ideas of RR on
things I think of.
What you propose, woudl really turn the list into a Rosen-Bible Sunday
School. I think the list has within its purposes to further develop the
Rosenistique ways of thinking, beyond the level he reached at the point of
his unfortunate departure. (At least I hope so...)
The way you propose would necessitate - either simple regurgitating - or an
argumentation AGAINST quotes, if the writer "says something".

As much as I agree with Tim's care to keep the list in Rosenesque lines, I
feel against formal restrictions that would kill the list - as we could
witness in case of other lists due to their formally restrictive (rigid)
moderators. Not less than the uncontrolled spread of topics what you and Tim
seem to be (rightfully) against.

I hope I did not offend you, I appreciate your knowledge and goodwill.
