Hi Ionel,
I used the term "commuting" in reference to a commuting Modeling Relation
between two systems, as on LI p. 53. "Commuting" as it occurs internal to a
non-commutative algebra is a very different meaning of the word. I too see
no reason to exclude a priori formal models composed in a non-commutative
algebra.
