My model of those "attractors" you mention holds that they are spoiled
brats who are probaby not even potty trained yet. Pitty they are allowed
to participate in civil discourse.

But, in all that noise, there were some valuable comments which give
insight into how average people model the universe. At the same time,
the tech reports of the researchers referenced are interesting in their
own right.  Like the Lorenz attractor which holds that weather patterns
orbit between an attractor basin associated with cold air masses and
another basin associated with warm air masses, it's interesting to
speculate on the nature of the basin(s) associated with earthquakes. One
theory holds that there are tidal stresses involved. There are, of
course, others. I just wonder if those associations are not a backdoor
into relational models of those domains.
