Hmm, it does seem odd now that you mention it. My first application of the ideas was to evolution and I wondered why he hadn't made that link. It did take me into dangerous territory however, essentially arguing that Baldwin had it right. There seems to be a resurgence of interest in Baldwin.

I agree there are no contradicitons. All I meant was that there were many pages on evolution, how genes work, and all that in AS, but nothing at all in LI. It was a change of view in that sense only.

Pardon me for backing up to this, but I want to ask why this seems to be a contradiction or "total change in view." To my read it says that life produced evolution, not that other way around, and that life consists of multiple observers making their own models of nature. These are compatible ideas.
