What is the 'I' in
"'I' ergo I am"? That is "<quote>I<quote>", not "T". The font
does make it hard to read. As you say, the long form is something like "I assume
that....". But, who is this "I" that makes the assumption? So, my version was
based on the notion that it is our initial "sense" of "self" or "I", and not -
"think" or "think I think" - that is what actually leads to the
resulting "I am". The 'I' could be thought of
as an abbreviation for "sense" of "self".
Let me try it with
a different font: 'I' ergo I am.
You are right
about noumena/noumenon. I used the plural intentionally to leave it
as general as possible. But it does come across as grammatically
incorrect.
